Adafruit's design supports standard 6-pin and 10-pin AVR ISP connections and AVRDUDE programming software. Documented v2 capabilities: USB-powered; buffered programming I/O for externally powered targets from 2–6 V; a jumper can instead supply USB 5 V to a compatible target. The guide specifies support for AVR ISP devices with 64 KB flash or less and excludes ATmega1280/1281/2560/2561. This is an ordinary ISP programmer, not a high-voltage fuse recovery tool. Cable/enclosure completeness and operation of the owner's unit have not been checked.
